Sr. Executive - Accounts :

The incumbent will be responsible for managing the overall financial operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting management with timely financial insights and reports. The role requires strong knowledge of accounting standards, laws, and compliance related to GST, Income Tax, and the Companies Act.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Financial Management & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate books of accounts, including preparation and filing of GST returns, IT returns, and other statutory reports.
  • Prepare and review financial reports, including Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, and cash flow statements.
  • Analyze revenue, expenditure, and profitability to support business decisions.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures in line with statutory requirements.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, including MIS, ageing reports, outstanding reports, and debtors’ statements.
  • Identify and resolve financial discrepancies in coordination with management.

2. Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure timely compliance with statutory requirements under GST, IT, and the Companies Act.
  • Handle filings and documentation with the Registrar of Companies (ROC) as required.
  • Assist in internal and statutory audits by coordinating with auditors and providing necessary details.
  • Ensure timely preparation of reconciliations (bank, vendor, customer, etc.) and tax compliances (monthly, quarterly, annual). 

3. Operational Responsibilities

  • Oversee invoice processing, payments, and receivables.
  • Approve and track expenses within defined TAT and timelines.
  • Manage GST credits and ensure accurate reconciliation.
  • Support in finalization and renewal of agreements and vendor contracts.
  • Maintain essential documentation and ensure the accounting system is updated regularly.
  • Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to management for decision-making.
  • Assist in legal and corporate secretarial compliance activities.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Required Competencies :

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial standards, and statutory compliance.
  • Proficiency in Tally and other financial ERP software like Odoo.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and financial analytics.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong presentation skills (including PowerPoint).
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems proactively.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity

Qualification & Experience :

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
  • 3–6 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.
  • Exposure to internal/statutory audits, GST, and Income Tax processes preferred.
