John Mueller of Google has recently shared his views on crawling priority. Crawling priority is something Google prioritises on how to crawl the web, meaning which content or pages will be crawled more often than the other.

He said if he would have to simplify crawling priority, he would do it on the basis of additional, unique and important value provided by the content on the pages rather than the size of the website.

He shared his thoughts on Twitter when there were a lot of questions asked by some SEO professionals around why large sites are crawled faster.

With this, John has once again reminded us why having valuable content is essential, not only in terms of SEO but also for increasing the crawlability of websites.
