SEO’s who are using Google data studio to prepare reports have good news awaiting them. Google Analytics has recently shared a post on Twitter that if someone is using the Google data studio and connection feature of the Google Search Console, they will be able to pull search query data filtered by Google News on web search.
Google also confirmed that the Search Console connector in data studio can show data coming from Google News tab. Earlier we could only see data from Google Search, Image Search, Video Search. This is great for news publishers whose content is discovered by people through Google news.

The Data Studio Search Console connector now shows you search data coming from Google News, in addition to existing data from Google Search, Image Search, and Video Search.

You can check the help document if you want to bring the Search Console data into the data studio.
Google added this data on the Search Console somewhere around July last year. However, the same has only been added to Google Search console API a month ago.
