November 2021 Broad Core Update announced by Google

Google’s November 2021 Broad Core update starts rolling out today, November 17th, 2021.

Google has announced the November broad core algorithm update on Twitter, sending the SEO world into a frenzy. 

Here’s the official announcement:

“Later today, we are releasing a broad core update, as we do several times per year. It is called the November 2021 Core Update. Our guidance about such updates is here.”

We’re speculating on what the new broad core algorithm update might bring to the table. Google hasn’t said anything specific about the November core update, as usual. They have, however, published guidance for site owners to follow after the broad core update is fully rolled out.

Before the November Broad Core update goes live, we’ve noted down some important points from Google’s Guidance documents for site owners to keep in mind. They are as follows:

• Websites may notice drops or gains in SEO rankings after the core algorithm update.
• The “Broad Core update” implies that Google has made some significant modifications to its search algorithms and systems.
• It is important to note that a website is not penalized if the rankings and traffic start dropping.
• Site owners should not panic and rather focus on re-assessing their content and other on-page elements.
• Make sure you follow Google’s search quality evaluator guidelines.

The timing of this November core algorithm update is quite surprising given that Black Friday and Cyber Monday are just around the corner. This is the third major core update released by Google in 2021.
