I hope the existing viewers still recognize me post the facial transformation from last week. Before we start with the weekly updates, I would like to share a piece of sad news about the passing of Bill Slawski on May 17th. He was gentle and humble, always around to help anyone from the SEO community. We would like to send our deepest condolences to his family & friends. May his soul rest in peace.
Let’s get started with today’s episode,
-
First up on the list is Microsoft Bing:
Believe it or not, Bing announced a new AI technology that will bring a 4K image experience to websites through Microsoft Edge, automatically enhancing website images. The new technology, Turing Image Super-Resolution, was developed by Microsoft’s Project Turing AI development team.
-
Next on the list is straight from Google SERP:
As you all know, Google has been conducting various tests on SERP to provide the best possible answer to its users. A Twitter user recently shared his experience where Google asked for more search terms when the Query seemed too short & generic. Here’s a screenshot for your reference.
-
Next update from Twitter
Twitter rolls out a new subscriber-only element called ‘Super Follows Space to help creators build their in-app communities. This is currently available to selected creators that offer subscriptions.
-
Yet another update from Microsoft Bing
Bing is testing a new feature by showing more information in the autocomplete search suggestions search bar drop-down menu. It shows ‘trending now searches’, ‘related searches’ and ‘people also ask searches’ in that menu.
-
Next on the list is YouTube
YouTube is rolling out a new video activity graph to all videos, which will display the most engaged moments within each upload based on when users are replaying segments. This definitely seems an interesting update to me.
-
The next update is from Google
Google has launched Interview Warmup, a new tool that uses artificial intelligence to help people prepare for job interviews. Yes, you heard that right. This AI tool will ask common interview questions and transcribe answers in real-time.
-
The last update for today from YouTube again
YouTube Rolls Out New, Separate Data Tabs For Videos, Shorts, Live-streams And Posts. This will help gather more insights on the individual performance of each content type, with improved analytics options within YouTube Studio.
