Google confirms rolling out the first broad core update of 2023.

Search giant Google confirms rolling out the first core algorithm update of 2023: The March 2023 core update via Twitter. Google said, “Today we released the March 2023 core update. We’ll update our ranking release history page when the rollout is complete.”

When announcing the release, Google hasn’t given much specifics about the new update. Yet, one evident thing is that Google intends to provide more accurate, high-quality search results with frequent releases of such updates.

Core updates also serve as a reminder to SEO professionals to stay alert and be prepared to be on the lookout for strategies to get an advantage over the competition. Core updates usually create ranking fluctuations, and your site may perform better or worse during such an event.

You can monitor your analytics and rankings over the next couple of weeks to learn how your site performs during the rollout of the update. Google previously stated that there is nothing you can do to fix your site if you notice a drop in search rankings following a core update.

The new core update comes just six months after the last core update, which was the September 2022 update
