When to Hire SEO Agency

SEO has been around for a long time and has proven a game-changer for many industries worldwide. However, many businesses shy away or fear investing their money in things they don’t know or trust. But that scenario is now taking a drastic change.

With the arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, several businesses moved their offline stores to online and leveraged SEO to grow in their niche. These businesses saw the right opportunity and decided to go with SEO agencies to grow their businesses. But how do you know if it is the ‘right time to hire an SEO agency for your product or service website?

In this video, the Founder and Managing Director of Infidigit, Kaushal Thakkar, talks about the three main factors companies need to consider when hiring an SEO agency for their website. He also talks about things businesses should consider while hiring SEO agencies, such as working with an internal SEO team, analysing the company’s growth rate, and the return on investment (ROI).

Many organisations have an internal digital marketing team, and SEO is usually part of these teams. If your internal SEO team is performing really well, you should continue with your internal SEO team.

When I say, ..”doing well..,” you can define it as… Let’s say if you are a website with maybe 1000 to 10,000 visits per day in a market like India, and you are growing at 30-40% a year, that’s not good growth. At least you should be growing in the developing market like India at 100% year on year. However, if you are a large website, like one of the vast marketplace, even a 30-40% growth is a good enough growth.

If you see symptoms like growth that is less than the numbers I specified, or maybe you do not see anybody able to take clear ownership of SEO in the long run because the alteration happens every year or two years, that’s also the time when you should look out for an external SEO agency.

The third thing is in terms of ROI. Usually, after a year or two of SEO, SEO delivers ROI, which is more than 4x minimum of the paid channels. So let’s say, if your return on investment coming from paid channels is 5x, at least the ROI coming from SEO should be around 20x. So if I do not see this kind of ROI, that’s also one of the times when you should look out for an SEO agency.
